Robb Hamic and the
instructors / coaches at Summit Self Defense are committed to giving women and
girls options when it comes to self defense. We specialize in all forms of
self-defense instruction for women and recognize that not all people learn the
same way. We have specially designed programs to meet women’s
needs.
Robb has been
married for twelve years and the father of three kids. He respects and admires
women. Robb has undergone three successful breast lumpectomies in the past four
years to remove tumors and he is a supporter of breast cancer awareness and
screening. His staff has proper training on issues that effect women and
training methodologies. Robb was a Sheriff’s Deputy and Detective and has
seen all aspects of violence perpetrated against women. He is familiar with
today’s threats and prevention methods. His focus of self defense training
is to empower women to detect, deter and if necessary defend themselves against
danger.
We currently train
thousands of women in small classes, seminars and private lessons in areas such
as: personal defense readiness (PDR), Israeli methodologies (Haganah, Commando
Krav Maga and others), American combatitives, handgun instruction, deployment
and concealed handgun licensing, Taser devices and deployment, use of OC spray
and more. We recognize that every woman has a different challenge and therefore
we offer many options to keep you safe.
Summit sells a
full line of Taser devices, pepper spray and is a Federal Firearms Dealer. We
can help you pick out the right handgun, ammunition, small safe or storage
device and concealed carry items that you may need.
We give seminars
to teenage girls in the home, women’s groups, organizations, groups of
friends, women owned businesses, college girls on campus or in the home, and
firearms instruction at the gun range or in the class room and private or
semi-private lessons on any topic.
We teach
real-world self defense that is based on research and developed to work in
stressful, dangerous situations. Our training is realistic and builds
confidence because it is simple. We explain all elements of the legal aspects
of using force and talk about scenarios that women face on a daily basis. We
address ongoing situations and work on strategies to keep you safe. We know
that 1/3 of all women will be a victim of domestic violence, assault/ battery
or sexual abuse in their lifetimes.
We have been
successful in empowering women and some of our students have successfully used
what they have learned to stop attacks. It is our goal to make women and their
families safer through education and skilled instruction.
